Get the 5-gallon bucket and mix the thinset according to the instructions mentioned on its package. Grab the trowel and spread it evenly throughout the space. Remember that the thinset needs at least 24 hours to dry. So, leave it for one day so that the material gets dried. Once it looks dry, start to layout the travertine tiles.
#STEP 6 – Install the Pavers
Laying out the travertine French-style patterns can be a little challenging. You could use a chalk-like to draw the lines. That’s it! You can calculate the space and cut your travertine tiles accordingly so that it fits the space.
#STEP 7 – Seal the Area
Sealing the area is important after the installation. You may need to seal the space every once in a while. The travertine tiles can endure stains, scratches, and weather elements if the area is sealed. Not only travertine, but all types of natural stones need proper sealing after the installation. It extends their lifespan and makes them more durable and versatile.
Purchase a high-quality sealant from a local hardware store. Make sure you wait for at least 24 hours before applying the sealant. The floor needs to be dried properly before it is sealed. You could hire a professional for sealing the floor or do it on your own. Either way, sealing is an integral part of the travertine French pattern tile installation. So, make sure you seal the area.
